Kitesurfing or kiteboarding is a surface watersport that uses the wind to pull a rider through the water on a small surfboard or kiteboard.
There are plenty of places you can book lessons in East End and Kaibo on Grand Cayman. Watching the instructors and individuals do jumps over the dock, race dive boats and doing it all barefoot is an amazing experience. You’ll also find operators who provide lessons when visiting Little Cayman.
Many kite boarders will go to South Sound or Spotts. The waves on the south side of the island are usually rougher and provide for more air and better surging. Lessons usually last for two half days which allows for time to do other activities while experiencing one of the most adrenaline filled adventures offered in the Cayman Islands.
