Now you can fly into Cayman with increased comfort on the new British Airways Boeing 777 aircraft. Offering extra capacity and even more luxury, the plane’s inaugural flight was welcomed by a crowd of dignitaries, airline executives and airplane enthusiasts as it touched down at the Owen Roberts International Airport on 1st July 2016.
Due to increasing demand for flights to the Cayman Islands, the new plane can carry more passengers, specifically in the Club World and World Traveller cabins. British Airways’ Commercial Manager for the Caribbean, Diane Corrie was among the crowd that witnessed the landmark landing and remarked that the new aircraft would help improve the already popular service: “I think the London route is very popular. What we are doing is meeting demand in a better way on a bigger aircraft with more premium seats available.”
