The Cayman Islands are the perfect place for water-based activities. Warm, crystal-clear waters provide the perfect setting for swimming, snorkelling, diving and much more. But what about yoga?
Kiristen Cousins from Vitamin Sea Cayman is a certified PaddleFit yoga instructor, meaning that she teaches her yoga classes on a paddleboard. The extra balance required to stand on the paddleboard means working your core even harder as if you lose your balance, you fall into the sea! Kiristen also offers PaddleFit classes which start with a warm up on land before paddling out on the water for some paddleboarding techniques, including turns and sprints to give you a full body workout. The class then ends with some cool down yoga stretches.
Classes can be arranged privately or as part of a group and will leave you feeling revitalised. Too busy during the day? Moonlit paddles are also available but you will need some previous paddleboard experience for these.
