Time to jump on board

Paddleboarding is one of the fastest growing watersports in the world, and the Cayman Islands have excellent conditions for this exciting sport. Whether you’re a beginner or an expert, it’s a great way to work out as you can burn between 500 and 1000 calories per hour, plus have fun at the same time.

Stand-up paddleboarding or SUP as it’s known, has a long history. Centuries ago it was a way for kings and queens to enjoy the water. By using a long board and a paddle they were able to cruise around, travel between islands and catch waves along the way.

In the Cayman Islands there are lots of companies that offer lessons and of course board hire. You can even get boards with LED lights attached to them, so when paddleboarding at night, you can see the amazing marine life below through the crystal clear waters.
